01/01/09 - WEBSITE: Hanger Lane Cafe Racer would like to thank a few people / companies that helped make this Website come to fruition.
Expose Marketing/Advertising, Ltd. (www.exposeinc.com) designed our company logo and branding and logo along with all of our marketing pieces (including this Website). Nate and his creative team at Expose are hands down some of the most creative and talented branding designers we have ever come across. (They are good guys too) If it were not for Expose, we would not have been able to convey how we feel about motorcycles and what we are all about. From their initial vision and concept to all of our final pieces, we couldn’t have been more pleased with how smoothly the process went! – Thanks Again!
Hanger Lane would also like to thank Jon Kelp with 804 Studios Website Development. Jon is responsible for making everything "work" on this Website. Jon's "can-do" attitude and responsiveness is absolutely second to none. (This is one of the reasons that his company is so successful) Jon built this site to Nate's exact spec (that is no easy task) and even added a few of his own tricks that we believe sets our site apart from the rest. Jon, you have been great to work with and we hope to work with you more in the near future. Thanks again!!

04/01/10 - "09" BIKE: The Hanger Lane Cafe Racer "09" Bike is complete!!

After many months of hard work and determination, the "09" Cafe Racer is complete. This build started soon after the 2009 Vintage Motorcycle Days event at The Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. We wanted to build a solid example that exemplifies the type of thought and craftsmanship that is put into every Hanger Lane bike. While tastes differ and inspirations vary from person to person, we feel that the “09” bike is a clear example of what Hanger Lane Café Racer is all about. Crisp, clean and raw.
The custom fabrication list on this machine is long. With a 50’s Bomber style airplane in mind, we used raw aluminum, Aviation hard aluminum rivets, jet nut fasteners, and copper oil lines. From the multi riveted headlight mount, battery box and front fender, to the large yellow H1 Ferrari headlight, this motorcycle is truly one of a kind. Yet, it is the subtle details that can make a motorcycle and this bike has many. For example: 1960’s KODAK film canisters that serve as front and rear brake reservoirs; a tach mount was machined from solid billet 6061 aluminum; and custom small rear hub trim pieces (also machined from aluminum that follow the same design cues as the tach mount). The Glass from the Past tail has been trimmed to neatly fit the Ford Model A tail light. Following the lines of the upswept, handmade 304 stainless exhaust, is the hand fabricated license plate bracket. Due to the relocation of the rear sets, a custom kick start lever had to be made utilizing a Honda CB750 lever. A new pivot block was machined from 420 stainless steel.
This bike is a performer as well. The 750cc Triumph pulls like a freight train. Having drilled disc brakes on the front and rear, this bike will go from the ton to zero quickly. The anodized aluminum SUN wheels are wrapped with Avon rubber. Progressive Suspension front springs and Progressive adjustable suspension in the rear. The controls include: a Domino ¼ turn throttle; Triumph Daytona front / rear master cylinders; Pazzo adjustable levers; and modified Tarozzi rear sets.
This build is true to its roots, with just enough modern technology to make it a blast to ride. Whether it is the Lotus gun metal grey paint that grabs your attention, the absolute “roar” of the Triumph motor, or just the overall look and feel of an authentic Café Racer, this motorcycle is one of a kind.
